This is for the combo of the new for fall 2022 RSI-Maze 48 Gallon (180 Liter) Double Compost Tumbler and RSI-Maze Composting Cart. A key feature of the composter is the two compartments, meaning you never stop composting. When the first compartment is full, it starts in the second compartment. Once this side is full, the first side is ready to be emptied, and the cycle continues. For larger families creating more compost material, the interior divider between the chambers can be removed to allow the entire composter to be used for individual composting. The strong, reinforced barrel is UV protected and contains multiple vents to promote aerobic decomposition. The large opening and sliding doors allow for easy addition of waste and collection of ready compost. A very unique feature is the gearing and handle that ensures easier turning of the drum and the geared ratchet will automatically lock the rotation in any position (a feature not seen on most compost tumblers at this price point and volume). The frame is powder coated zinc and its open front design allows for easy access for collection of ready to use compost from the barrel with plenty of room for a compost cart or bucket to slide underneath. By swinging the door down you can slide the door open and let the compost fall into the cart. The addition of the compost cart is designed for simple removal of finished compost material and easy transport to the location the customer is looking to use the material. This is the same compost cart that has been on the market since 2017 with close to 100,000 units on the market.

Glad Of The Purchase
Our Maze compost processor is now up and running. I did a good deal of research before buying this specific one and now am happy to have paid some more to get more with this. There are several features here that made a difference to me. First there’s the handy two wheel cart that will receive the finished compost and take it to where we need it. Since the cart fits underneath the drum so the contents can be dumped into the car it circumvents the need to tediously shovel the finished compost from the drum. In addition, the cart’s already come in handy to move bulk items like fertilizer around the garden areas. The other useful addition is the geared crank. That makes turning the drum to mix, aerate or otherwise rotate the drum much easier. The mechanism includes a pawl that engages the outer ring gear to halt the rotation. If not for this, the drum would always stabilize with its heaviest point down. I should also mention the adjustable air vents which are useful to regulate the composting process.Assembly took 45 minutes partly because we puzzled over some steps and in one case took a wrong path. We weren’t rushing either instead enjoying one of the last warm days before winter’s misery comes to call. I can’t see how this could have been done by one of us but maybe I’m wrong and it could be a singlehanded project. With two of us aided by a few of our own tools it finished without any significant frustration. The kit includes a nice double box end wrench (8/10mm), an Allen/Phillips wrench as well as all the needed fasteners. Adding a no-mar mallet, some Allen t-handles and an electric driver with many bits from our own toolbox helped quite a bit.Looking backward at the now assembled drum, I’m satisfied we spent a bit more but got a good deal more buying this kit over some less costly ones.

So impressed with this product!
Incredible product! Better than I imagined. & I’m a lady and was able to assemble it by myself. My husband was so surprised & impressed. Everything needed for assembly came with. Very impressed with this product. & the cart that goes under it is even better! I have all ready used the cart for numerous other things. I keep it stored under the composter to collect any potential mess, however, so far it has not been needed! Very pleased with this purchase… with every penny!!!!p.s…. You tube videos available for assembly as well if needed

Seems well made
Instructions were very good . Good quality, will see how it holds up.the Carter pins for the cart wheels were very weak broke right away, I replaced them with heavier ones I bought at the local hardware store.

Wonderful replacement for wire basket compost.
No more unsightly weeds growing out of my composter that I have to whack back!! This is such a time saver. It composts quickly and efficiently with no upkeep. No more turning the compost with a pitchfork. It is now done with a well geared handle. A real back saver too.

Simple and easy to use!
Oh my! After my old, hard to tumble, this one is a dream! I’m a senior and this is the easiest tumbler I’ve ever had and over many many years of composting it’s very important. Then to have a cart under that has wheels to take the compost where I need it with a push, well it’s amazing !! Thank you to whomever designed this composter. Genius!

Easy to turn, difficult to assemble.
Very difficult to assemble by the instructions. A simple note to attach a panel to each side of the door in the first step would make the assembly much easier. Overall good quality once assembled and easy to turn. The gear can pop out, but works fine.
