Our Lifetime dual compost features two 50-gallon (6.7 cubic ft.) tumblers and is constructed with black, UV-protected high-density polyethylene (HDPE) panels that absorb and retain heat. Load one barrel while the other barrel processes, with a processing indicator included. A aerated internal bar mixes compost and allows needed airflow that easily rotates and locks in place. This ingenious tumbler design turns on axis for easy and balanced rotation. Constructed at convenient loading height and an extra large removable lid for easy access. Balanced lightweight construction offers a galvanized steel base and powder coated steel frame. This unit has an aesthetically pleasing appearance for no more messy compost heaps. Enclosed is compost material that helps keep pests out along with a how to compost guide.

You can probably build without a team
I’m in love with my new compost tumbler— and you don’t really need three people to assemble it, just four hours of dedicated focus. It’s something a sturdy female with a penchant for building can do. I made a few mistakes along the way, but nothing I couldn’t undo. It is currently working on the first batch, and by all indications is doing well. I’m not sure where I was supposed to use the six washers I had left over…

Great product and excellent customer service from manufacturer
I rarely write reviews of products, but this one is a gem! This composter does a great job of turning kitchen waste into beautiful compost. The two barrels rotate independently and can lock in place. Assembly was reasonable and went according to instructions. A year after purchase, we moved the composter out of the garden to till and broke a pin. One email later, the manufacturer had sent a pair of replacement pins, at no cost. Excellent customer service and a great product. Would absolutely order a product from this company again.

Not built right and failed welds.
Weld is already broke. (Didn’t notice until over an hour of work put into it). And The legs aren’t even built right, there’s no room for the aeration bar to slip onto the leg.

It’s alright.
I would give this like a 3.8I use this to compost my quail poop, pine shavings, cardboard, and scraps. I like that it’s massive and the opening is huge so I can just dump my bins in easily.Assembly was a pain in the A when done alone (4+ hours). I would do this with a partner. Even then, alignment of things makes it difficult for the lid to close but I have noticed it gets easier with time. My lid hinge almost did not go on due to the little nub on the hinge not being able to be pressed in when sliding the lid on.Tumbling works smoothly but there is some “leakage” of smaller particles of things through the bottom 4 “corners” since the corners are covered and held on with clips.I was only missing one piece which happened to be a little cover for a screw. Hopefully it doesn’t rust overtime but I may just silicone caulk it.

I like it so far!
I did a lot of research on composters. I was drawn to this one because it has two tumblers, and the double walled construction is important because I live in the north and want to it hold what little warmth we get in the spring and fall.I read a ton of reviews and my biggest concerns were putting it together and that the latching mechanism would get debris in it and not function. Well, putting it together is tough, but not ridiculous. The hardest part for us was getting the wall connectors to slide on (the rubber mallet REALLY helped) – the rest was just following instructions, taking your time and using your head.As for the latch, time will tell. I hope that just hosing it off on occasion will help.

Dirt falls out.
Dirt falls out when you spin the containers, making a mess every time you do. And that is everyday.

Life-changing Lifetime Compost Tumbler!
For those of us who are organic gardeners, we know that when we hear others refer to their “black gold” we understand what that means! Without good compost, I wouldn’t have the healthy, tasty vegetables and fruits that my family enjoys year after year. This Lifetime Dual Compost Tumbler is a dream come true! Before, I had a very large compost bin. It was very difficult to toss the ingredients to keep it “cooking” and it never totally finished because I was always mixing new material with old. Look at this one! It makes it so easy! My compost by the 2nd day was already up to 100 degrees – impossible in the past without a lot of care. I love it! Thanks to the guys online who made the video for it, we bought it and love it.

I bought the duel tumbler and wished i hadn’t, Very tricky to assemble, instructions aren’t great and the you tube video isn’t great either as the guy makes it look so easy but covers every step with his hands whilst instructing making it hard to see the orientation of where nuts and washers are located. The double tube aerator assembly that goes through the middle of both drums is really hard as you need the arms of an octopus to ensure everything is located correctly while simultaneously tightening bolts on the inside of a deep deep drum whilst holding nuts on the outside. added to this would be the twin spheres with a mind of their own that add to the complexity. The guy in the video makes it look like a walk in the park, in reality its nearly caused a divorce after 30 happy years of marriage. However , once you have overcome the build issues it is sturdy and will hopefully make some good compost. My advice , buy two singles not a double. Lots of the parts could have come ready assembled without affecting the price.

Very solid and well designed. The assembly is fairly lengthy but the instructions are great and the parts are all labelled clearly. All parts seem high quality, I am pleased with the purchase.

Item could not be assembled as instruction steps 2.8 and 2.9, due to insufficient clearance to allow rear leg stub tubes to be inserted into aeration tube. Lifetime Customer Services was asked to replace defective parts on two occasions 2 weeks apart and, inspite of being sent photos clearly showing the problem, did not do this or indicate they would.

April 17th 2023 I have great hopes for this dual composter, although the single composter was recommended I splashed out on the double. The negatives were that the package was damaged on arrival with a great gap at the top -luckily nothing appeared to be missing. It took an experienced person over 8 hours to assemble this which has cost me well over half the cost of the composter. Despite emailing the UK customer service for some help, sadly none has been forthcoming. I see there is an option to pay for assembly -but only if you live in the United States. No You Tube videos seem concise enough to help either. So a disappointing and costly experience! I see people have complained about the inner parts rusting out but will make sure it’s greased with some maintenance -I hope it’s been worth the aggravation and I can get some good compost from it. Customer service need to up their game on replying to customers and also offer an assembly service.
