Best compost bin I’ve ever owned…
This is the best compost bin I’ve ever owned. It’s not as cute as some, but it is so well designed and so effective. It controls odor and pests unbelievably well and is so easy to clean. Just the right size and I love the hinged lid. Also like the way it folds up small for storage. It comes with plastic bags but I don’t use them since I don’t want them in the compost, just an unnecessary complication as far as I can see. I don’t need the bags since the container cleans up so easily. Excellent product in my opinion.

Great size for kitchen counter. This is easy to use and keeps from being smelly with the filter. I’m very happy with the handle to carry it to the large compost bin. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a reasonably priced kitchen compost storage solution.

Making life easier.
This little counter top compost container is fabulous. Bonus: the compostable produce bags from the grocery store fit perfectly, no need to buy bags, The bag goes out to the green waste.This makes life so much easier if you live in a mandatory “separate your garbage state”. I was getting tired of opening my freezer for one little thing. Easy to use with one hand. Light weight and small so you can move it around the kitchen where you need it. It really makes food prep easier.If you are not separating food waste for compost, consider it. Less wear on the garbage disposal and plumbing. Better for the environment. And in California, It’s the law. Lastly, it makes you aware of how much food waste you are producing.

Good bin but bags are to biodegradable.
We have to empty this out every other day in order to not have a puddle of food liquids in the bottom. The bag is so biodegradable that it leaks liquid. It does contain the smell and I think it cuts down on the fruit flies. We had some fruit flies but I think the kid got left ajar.

Fits on a small counter
This works well as a place to put kitchen plate scrapings, peels, rinds, all the little bits that usually end up in the disposal. It fits in a corner of my small counter. The bags that come with it are fine, though soft and they have a small hole in the bottom where the material is gathered – so they leak and you must wipe or wash out the container. No smell probably because the quantity it holds is small – I transfer the tied-up bags to a larger bucket with a tight screw lid

I love this counter size compost bin. It’s super convenient and the carbon odor filter works great. I keep it under the sink and add to it as needed. The bags hold up well and are easy to add to our garden compost bin.

Silicone sides get moldy
While the size is good the silicone body molds and you cannot get it clean. I’ve bleached it, scrubbed it, I empty it about every 3 days and still black mold on the sides that are silicone. I use recyclable bags and wash out after emptying it. I’ve had this several years and it’s very functional but the black on the sides does concern me. It doesn’t smell and works as it should but needs to be built out of different materials.

Can’t decide? Pick this one!
You know when you go to the store and there are so many toothpaste choices that you kind of just stand there for a minute blankly wondering, “How different could any of these really be?”When I decided to start composting my kitchen scraps, I felt kind of like that. I am sure there are minor differences that might be a big deal to somebody, but if you are feeling overwhelmed and just need to make a decision, pick this one.Things it has going for it:- Comes with compostable bags that fit!- Can toss it in the dishwasher if it gets nasty (at least I have and it’s fine).- Easy to wipe down if it’s not yet dishwasher time.- Has one of those filter things in the top. Does it really do anything? Who knows.- It collapses. I guess this is good for shipping? I use it all the time, so it’s not like I put it into storage, but if you plan on packing it away, it’s a fine feature.- For plastic, it looks nice enough. I don’t have an HGTV kitchen though, so your experience may vary.Good price. Good product. Go for it.

Love this little bin, it’s changed our lives in the kitchen – no more trips outside to the bin scraping our plates, we can now tip it straight into this caddy, you don’t smell a thing until you open the lid, which stays in place while you empty your scrapings into it. It comes with a roll of compostable bags which I’m confident will prevent our recycling bin from attracting flies in the summer. It arrives flat to reduce packaging and you just expand it and put the lid on then it stays in place. It’s really neat on the kitchen worktop and quite modern looking with a cool smooth feel. I like how it is made from bamboo and the company are focused on climate change. Also included replacement filters and a wash up sponge. Really like this company and love the bin caddy.
