Counter top unit, long life in a small package
Surprisingly small but effective. The unit is about as big as a Dawn foam pump dispenser so it really does not take a lot of counter space. Easy to use, a simple turn of the valve directs water through the filter.Water quality improvement is noticeable. My community uses chloramine (chlorine and ammonia) for secondary disinfection and why we bought the mini-1ccb model as it specifically treats for chloramine. We plan on using the filter water for baby formula and wanted more assurance the water would be as pure as possible. The water after being filtered has no odor or taste, noticeable difference. The filter has very good water flow.Install was easy only requiring a pair of pliers, but where the unit loses a star. You have to remove your existing aerator and attach the filter valve unit. It comes with thread adapters, disappointing that the adapters are all plastic so make sure you use the proper washers and do not over tighten else the plastic threads everywhere will strip. I di wish more metal was used overall in the entire valve assembly. Some small zip ties would have been a good addition to the install kit to secure the hose to the faucet neck. The hoses are of good enough quality albeit a tad rigid, and connect to the filter base very easily and without tools. The filter itself is a single unit, when replaced there is nothing to rinse, clean, or flush. Zero maintenance required. The filter replacement requires no tools as well and they seem to be affordable, we will see how long the filter lasts.Edit 8-31-2020Well we finally replaced the filter, it was about 10 months old. The water quality was still fine with no noticeable chloramine odor or funny tastes, it was just the water volume had decreased a noticeable amount. Getting 10 months of daily use in a family of 5 for drinking, coffee making, formula and cooking is amazing! The replacement filter is quite affordable for the amount of filtered water it provides. At about a year of very often daily use, the diverter valve that attaches to the faucet began to drip water when the diverter was off. I emailed Perfect Water, the manufacturer of the filter, based in Arizona, what the issue was and provided a digital copy of my Amazon invoice. The matter of a few hours later I received an email Response apologizing for the issues and notification of a new complete diverter assembly being shipped to my home address. Amazing customer service! I received the new assembly in days and it installed quickly, the entire system is running like new again. Perfect Water has a customer for life!Edit 9-10-2021I seriously can’t believe it has been another year, and we just replaced the Mini-1CCB filter! For average family of now 3, (little ones grow fast and leave the nest) it really does last about a year. I started seeing the tell tale sign of needing replacement, and that was the water pressure from the filter was getting slower, which is from the catalytic carbon block pores getting clogged with impurities, and that slows the water flow.We are on municipal water, (MWRA Mass) and it is very good water to begin with. I love this filter as it requires catalytic carbon to remove chloramine, the final and long lasting disinfectant the MWRA uses to ensure water quality from source to tap. The water has very little solids and impurities that would clog the Mini CCB filter and probably explains why some reviews say the filter lasts so long (like us) and some that say it lasted mere weeks. If you are on well water there will be higher solids in the water and cause the filter to clog sooner, and ultimately cause the filter to suffer an early demise while in fact the active carbon in the filter could still purify many more gallons to come. If that is the case, consider getting a whole house sediment filter first, then use the Mini 1CCB as your final tap source, and it should perform much better.I have left my review and updates of this product at 4 stars until this review, as of today, it gets 5.

Ultimate portability!
We bought this to take to a short term rental unit we will be using in an area with questionable city water quality. First off, installation was very easy with several adapters to choose from. Once installed , unit was 100% leak free and produced filter water at a better than expected rate. We will a large pitcher for all of our drinking and cooking needs. When you compare the HM-Mini-1CCB to the pitcher type and/or faucet mount filtering products there is no comparison. The HM-Mini-1CCB is much more economically and in terms of filtering it is far superior. We’ve used this for close to a month with no issues and we are pleased with the water taste . This product is made in the USA.

Dont waste your money
I love how it look , very nice , small , but NOT GOOD.70% chlorine still in it compared to straight from tap water. I only have it for 2 days. That is what the result came out after tested. Imagine every other thing that said this filter can do . It a BS.You can purchase a chlorine drop from pest store and test it your self.Dont want to buy or recommend them to anybody.

Plastic diverter broke, but company replaced quickly
2/7/20 Updated edit: The Home Master company kindly replaced my cracked diverter and shipped it out to me promptly no charge! I’m very pleased with the service. Would be 5 stars if the part was stainless steel.Original review: I bought my mini plus 2 years ago and use it everyday in my bathroom sink for my pets’ water. I loved the size and ease of installation. Unfortunately, the plastic construction of the faucet piece has not held up. It already has cracked in a couple places and is squirting water at us everytime we use the filter. Not sure what went wrong, but I’m guessing this wouldn’t have happened if this was made of metal instead. I think it’s a shame to have to pay $50 for another one after just 2 years. I have contacted the company and I am awaiting their response

This product saved a lot of cost and effort…and it works!
Two years ago I moved into an old rental building with a small kitchen. The plumbing is still from 1929, so needless to say I was concerned about water quality and for 2 years I lugged water from the supermarket. My sister has a larger system (filter under the sink) but she owns her own home. All the other sink models I found had big canisters that you poured from (awkward) – I wanted something that I could directly fill pitchers with, etc. Luckily I found this product, but finding it was not easy. I nearly ordered something else…And I’m glad I didn’t — I love it. And I am saving all the cost and effort of buying water, and it is faster than ever to get my water. This mini filter was easy to install (even for a non-tech person in her 70’s) and has worked beautifully for 2 months.I have no complaints except that I wish Amazon had displayed it to me as an option when I searched online.Be careful when buying your filter…know what you are trying to filter out, and make sure you get the right model. There are several choices.
