Storage environment:
Position: Place the compost in a well-ventilated place with sufficient sunlight but not overheating, preferably in the yard or in a corner of the garden.
Humidity: Keep the compost properly humidity, compost should remain wet but not too wet. In dry weather, regular watering required to maintain proper humidity.
How to use:
Add scraps: Open the door and add scraps, load them with waste from yard and kitchen. Then give them time to heat up. Turning a compost pile mixing the organic materials and the organisms it contains with heat-producing oxygen is the traditional method of keeping the process going full steam.
Turn the tumbler: All you need to do is turn the tumbler every 5-6 times every few days, the organic materials will mixed and infused with fresh oxygen. Finally you will get rich, fertile compost in just 4-6 weeks or less in hot weather!
Usage tips:
Too much scraps: Avoid adding too much organic waste to compost all at once, which may result in compost being too dense and lack of oxygen, thus affecting decomposition efficiency.
Minimize the scraps: Try to chop or tear organic waste into small pieces before adding it to the compost bucket. This helps to speed up the decomposition process, and can reduce the volume of waste in the compost.
Layer upon layer stacked: Stack different types of organic waste instead of mixing them together. For example, you can put a layer of kitchen waste, then a layer of carbon source materials such as dead leaves or lawn pruning, and then add some soil or composting starter (if you have) to promote decomposition.
Smell: Normally, compost should produce a earth-like smell. If there is a bad smell, the composting may be too wet or contain inappropriate substances, so you need to adjust it appropriately, add more carbon source materials or adjust the proportion of composting.

Absolutely love it
I waited a long time to find a good tumbling composter at a reasonable price. This is the one!It did take two of us to put it together, but I probably could have done it on my own if I wanted. It just would have taken longer and been more frustrating. It went together in less than an hour with a power screw gun & 2 ppl. The directions are a little iffy in places, but it’s a pretty intuitive build so that was’nt a problem. **Leave the doors off of it while assembling so that you can put your hand through to the inside to hold the nuts while you attach the last panel.**It’s made well and is very sturdy. The metal legs and screws are coated to hold off rust. I’ll just need to preemptively spray paint a few areas on the legs where the coating is scratched off. Very happy with the quality at this price point!I’ve been using it about a month now. Could not be happier. So easy. I really like that it has two compartments so that you can stagger the compost batches. That way, you can have some compost ready to use while you’re “cooking” a younger batch in the other compartment. Genius!My kids are getting a kick out of using it. It’s out on my back deck, easily accessible from our dining room, so it’s very easy to take our little indoor compost bin out and dump it at the end of each day. The kids like spinning it and thankfully, the novelty hasn’t worn off yet.I do wonder whether or not it’s getting enough aeration. Manufacturer says the air holes plus spinning it regularly provides enough aeration. We’ll see. It’s definitely giving off some heat in there, which is a good thing & means it definitely doesn’t have TOO much aeration. That should mean faster compost.It does leak a little compost juice through whichever air holes are on the bottom at any given time. Not a ton, but expect to hose down the surface you put it on occasionally during the juicy cooking process (Unless you put it on dirt or grass).We’re out on the deck every day and there’s been no bad smell at all.Getting compost out of it when it’s ready might be tricky. I imagine you just remove the door, roll the cylinder until the open door is on the bottom, & let the compost spill out into a bucket. A standard five gallon bucket is just a bit too tall to fit under it, but a big rubber garden/farm bucket with handles fits perfectly (See photo). That’s what I always carry dirt in anyway. If I want, I can transfer bucket loads to a wheelbarrow when I need more than a bucket load at one time.Overall, I’ve got zero complaints! Glad I waited for the right one!

It is what it is
I’ve no real complaint about the product itself. It went together well. All of the parts were included. It’s heavy enough that it doesn’t blow over yet is light enough to move if needed. However …Have tried composting for a couple of years now and decided it’s not for me. The contents are too hot, too wet, too dry, too much brown, too much green, etc. etc. etc.Yard debris such as leaves of any substance and small sticks will never decompose. At best, strawberry hulls, coffee grounds, egg shells, and shredded paper were about all that would work.Gnats, though there are other nastier bugs that sometimes invaded, were also a nuisance.This is nothing against the product. Just know that it will be a commitment of time, energy, and interest. After the first 8 months, I achieved a handful of compost, so even if all goes well, you’ll only end up with very little compost. Mine is now just yard art along with a smaller tumbler that I bought around the same time.

Very difficult to get the pieces to snap together
We really struggled to put this together. Snapping the individual pieces to form the “bowl”/tumbler was so frustrating because they don’t snap in a way that feels secure. We kept fighting to get the side pieces to sit flush and actually lock onto the tabs.Part of it might’ve been that we didn’t have a rubber mallet, but honestly, I think the bigger issue was some tabs weren’t cut all the way through. it felt like a thin layer of plastic was keeping them from popping through and locking properly. Either way… it was kind of ridiculous. It literally took me sitting on it and pushing tabs in while my boyfriend wrestled the plastic into place so it would finally lock.BUT once we got it assembled, we were really happy with it and we’re excited to start composting. So: great end result… just be prepared for a very real almost ikea like build experience.Also, side note, the qr code to get to the video doesnt work.

Good value for the money.
So far I love this composter. The instructions were easy to follow and although they recommend two person assembly, I was able to assemble most of it myself. I also liked that it included a normal sized screw driver to assemble, no dinky little tool that causes more frustration than it helps. It seems sturdy. The instructions recommended using a rubber mallet to make sure all of the pieces were snapped together good, but I didn’t have one so I used a light hammer over a hand towel.

should have studied the product thoroughly before making a purchase, but it is very small. It doesn’t hold the amount of grass clippings from one mowing. But because of the size, it is easy to tumble/rotate.Revised April 2025Although the item I ordered (2-compartment 37 gal) was quite small, I received a replacement (1-compartment 43 gal) made a nice addition to the first one. A great part of the 2 small compartment tumbler is that the turnover time is quicker than the larger one. I am able to use smaller ones while I work at a larger capacity. I highly recommend that you have a 37-gal (2 compartments) and a 43-gal (1 compartment) at the same time in your backyard. They take care of your kitchen waste and are good for your gardening at the same time. I like them so much that I plan on getting another 43-gal one. But be advised, if you care about getting a smaller tumbler, understand before you order that they are quite small. Everything has its purposes, and they are really good for producing compost in a shorter period of time, but they do not hold waste well. I recommend getting a second one.

good and bad
The product is mostly good. Bad design for tightening the nuts on the inside, plastic ridge restricts access for some nuts to bolts. One of the panels was a bit warped and very hard to press enough to get the screw started. I think other composters I have were easy to put together and similar material quality.

La hielera cumple con todo lo que dice en la descripción. Ya la probamos y el hielo se conserva bastante bien. El material se ve muy resistente y su diseño es práctico y muy novedoso. La probamos en clima un poco frío, falta probarla en clima muy caluroso, pero creo que funcionará!!

Lo he usado por seis semanas. En la cuarta semana la primera cámara se llenó al 85% entonces empezé a usar la segunda cámara. Aún no tengo composta en la primera cámara.

Compré en color blanco, pero por ser poroso el material se mancha mucho y a veces no puedes quitar las manchas. Si compras, te recomiendo de otro color que no sea blanca
