A Better Product at a Better Price
I am an avid lawn care nut. I use plenty of lawn care products and buy most of them through an online supplier who specializes in them. I was shopping for some humic acid for my lawn to help correct a pH imbalance. I found this on Amazon and thought I would give it a try as it was a higher concentration (20%) than the competitions and it was at a better price. It arrived in a timely fashion and I was surprised at the quality of the product. I sprayed it on my yard and it immediately helped with the pH issue. I thin the humic acid should help the soil in the long term, and it has begun to show signs of greening the grass up. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a priced-right humic acid for their lawn or garden. My grass seems to hold more water now so I have been able to also cut down on my watering times since its application.

Quality product
I just applied this last night, so I’ll only comment on the application for now. This product is like black ink when you open the jug. There wasn’t a noticeable smell, but I didn’t stick my nose in the jug. Wear gloves, shake well, and I recommend setting the hose end sprayer cup on a workbench protected with cardboard. Fit the cup to the sprayer, then the sprayer to the hose.I applied to this to 10k square feet, which requires a bit of planning and hose management. Start at your farthest point and work back towards the spigot, collecting the hose as you go.I have high water pressure. Pressure is what determines the application rate out of your hose end sprayer, so pay attention – the 6oz/ gallon rate drained the cup too fast, so I had to dial it back.After application, I did a second pass over the lawn with just water, and then hit it with the sprinklers the next morning. A light rain would have been even better.All in all, the product was easy to use, and I don’t have any reason to expect that it won’t be effective. This is a great treatment to apply 2 weeks after a slow release nitrogen or lawn food (think milirganite or equivalent).If you’re consider this product, just get it. Humic acid is pretty forgiving, so application rate is fairly flexible (within reason)

I applied this all over my back yard that had clay like soil and it worked beautifully. This stuff really worked I rototilled in with the existing soil. What a difference . Now I’m ready for planting new grass…

I have poor soil, especially in my front lawn, and have never had a very nice lawn, usually just better than a bunch of weeds. I’ve tried many different products and never saw much improvement.I saw this humic acid and thought it might benefit my grass, so I placed my order. It arrived quickly and very well packaged so that there were no leaks at all.Being a liquid product it’s very easy to apply. I used a hose-end sprayer. It took me less than 30 minutes to cover all of my grassy areas.I’m not going to proclaim that this is a miracle product, but I have seen definite improvement in my front lawn where my soil is more clay laden. It has greened up somewhat, and is filling in some of the thin spots. We’ve been suffering from 20+ years of drought here in my area of Colorado, so any improvement is a step forward.I’ve applied it a couple of times and am pleased so far. I will continue to use it and hope for continuing progress.You get enough for about 10,000 square feet of coverage, so that’s a nice bonus as well.Considering the ease of application, the results, and the cost, I would recommend this for your lawn.

what you grass needs
My grass was greener within two weeks. My soil was also noticeably softer and less compact. Buy this essential item as part of getting the best grass in the neighborhood. My soil was all clay and very compact.This soil modification is easily put on your grass with a garden hose applicator garden sprayer. This stuff may stain your concrete temporarily and your hands, as it is very brown and dark. So just try to keep it to your grass. It is perfect if coupled with an aeration and overseeding to help grass grow better and deeper into the soil. This does smell, so beware if you are sensitive to smells. Its basically manure. LOL.
