Perfect size counter top compost bin with an airtight lid
Perfect counter top compost bin! I wanted a small compost bin that I could utilize on the counter while cutting up vegetables etc. I also wanted it to have a lid so I could use it for a few days without having fruit flies until it could be taken outside to our larger compost area. This definitely fit the bill! It is made of a sturdy silicone material that has an airtight lid and a removable inner basket with drainage holes. It is approximately 8.5″ tall x 6.75 ” wide. The inner basket is approximately 8″ deep. I usually leave the inner basket in place when taking it outside to prevent leaking. I was worried that it might be too small but it’s really a great size and holds a several days worth of vegetable and fruit cuttings with no smell as the lid is airtight. I don’t see a need for a bin with a filter as this works exactly as described and is easy to manage. I use it as an intermediate holding place for compost waste and empty it every few days. It is very easy to rinse out and reuse.

Good looking and functional, a winner
I love this compost bin. Just the right size for the countertop. Holds quite a bit and keeps an odor from escaping. It cleans up very easily. I like the way the inner basket drains the liquid which helps keep things from getting mushy or moldy until you empty it. Price was a winner also.

This is perfect for my kitchen. It’s airtight so no odors leak out. It is convertable so I can move it to where I need it. It looks nice on my counter and blends in well. The smaller size if perfect! You can’t see inside so nobody knows what it is for.

This is a very practical compost bin and it is dishwasher safe. Looks good too on the kitchen counter. The handle could be a bit more sturdy though.

Nice little bin for the kitchen counter. Large enough to survive a big cooking project. Lid seals well. I like the inner drain basket. Washes clean and doesn’t hold smell.

I have tried way too many food waste bins and been disappointed with them all – until this one.This is the one and only food waste bin I would recommend. Here’s why:* The lid fits tightly and flies, not even those pessky fruit flies – can’t get in, and odors don’t get out.* There is a handled container inside that has a sieve at the bottom to allow any liquids that naturally form inside a food waste bin, to be stored underneath separately. You can lift the handled part out to dispose of the food and then pour away the liquid separately from the bottom of the main bin.* It’s dishwasher safe.These features save so much time and ick when dealing with food waste bins.This bin is not cheap – but it is most definitely worth every penny so it is value for money as you won’t need to buy another as it works perfectly. It’s sturdy and has sufficient storage for a household. There is a smaller option for smaller households. It’s easy clean and you can dispose of the liquid at the bottom separately to the food waste.
