Perfect find for the kitchen
Perfect size for the sink-side trash. It’s well biodegradable, I made the mistake of storing some potting soil in it, was gladly surprised to see all the soil scattered around after a month or two. It’s not cheap or flimsy, it holds gooey-liquidy trash very well. I am very happy with my purchase, I reordered it and the quality was the same. Very much recommended.

Reliable Compost Bags for Countertop Food Scraps
Since my area started requiring organic food scraps to go into the green waste bin, I’ve been using these bags inside a tabletop container, and they’ve worked really well right from the start. Even though this was the first product like this I tried, I’ve already gone through several boxes because they perform reliably.They hold up well – no tearing in the wrong places – and they fit my countertop trash container nicely without falling apart or slipping down. I appreciate that they can stretch a bit when needed and tie securely at the top. Being compostable is essential, of course. I like thinking that they offer a clean, neutral way of keeping the food scraps contained until it’s time to transfer them to the main green waste bin for collection. Really happy with this product; I buy it now and will continue to do so.

Consistent quality
I’ve been using these compostable bags for two years now, after our garbage company changed policy to eliminate food scraps from going into the landfill. They hold up well to heavy, wet food scraps and are of a good consistent quality.

Use these, don’t save them.
They worked well at the beginning, but they need an expiration date. I tried using them three years after I bought them and they are falling apart…compositing in my cabinet. So they are doing what they are supposed to do. Just be sure to use them in the 1-2 years after purchasing them.

Size
Conveniently sized. You want to empty your composting waste frequently to avoid bad odor. If you have to carry it out of your house to reach the compositing receptacle, you don’t want a giant bag.

Properly compostable but very vulnerable to leaks
I was looking for a compostable bag that was properly certified, so figured I’d try these for the price. These definitely don’t work great for compost material that is wet in any manner as they leak very quickly and I had to clean my counter compost bin multiple times before I gave up. If you double bag them, then it hadn’t seemed to leak through but still leaves a condensation on the inside of the compost container. I’ve now just started using them for my bathroom trash cans. They work just fine for this, but not for their original intended purpose.

I expected these to fit the tall green bins (as pictured in the ad), but was disappointed to find they were smaller around than the opening of the bin. However, I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the stretch they have in them. I have been able to stretch the tops over all four corners of the bin without the bag breaking. This has made the purchase worthwhile instead of regretful! I’ve been using them for a number of months now, and will likely purchase them again.

I was not able to find a bag large enough for my large food bin. This was extra large and did the work. It keeps the bin clean. Just wish it was cheaper. Over all its a good product, just have to be mindful how often replacing it. I use this as a liner for my smaller bags.
