It looks nice, sets well and collects water. Thanks why you buy it and that's what you expect. The top is closed with just a small hole for drainage so it really is a plantar. You have to use the gutter kit to actually collect water.

We ordered this in January but only attempted to set it up now that the weather has warmed. The barrel we got does not match the directions or the pieces we got with it. It is amusing to look at with the planter top but I am wondering how useful it will actually be. There is no way to hold the hose up off the ground so we will have to make something ourselves. The return window has closed so we have to figure out how to alter it and set it up on our own.

We purchased 2 last spring of ‘24. Although we drained them during the winter, one has developed a crack in the bottom. Both were placed on concrete blocks. We were also hoping to use a collapsible hose with them to water plants and rinse our pond filter. Unfortunately it doesn’t provide enough water pressure to inflate the hose. Spicket works well, but very little pressure.
