Great sustainable swap, just be gentle with it
Really happy to have found a bamboo floss that’s actually functional and not just a nice idea. No teflon coating, no artificial flavor or wax, I’ve been using it for months now and the quality has been consistent throughout.One thing to know going in: it can feel a little “sharp” compared to coated conventional floss. Just don’t press it too aggressively into your gumline and you’ll be totally fine. Once you adjust your technique slightly it’s a non-issue. Four stars because it takes a little getting used to, but it’s absolutely worth it for anyone trying to reduce plastic and chemical exposure in their routine.

Finally found plastic free floss! And it works so well!
So I am trying to avoid plastic wherever I can now because of all the recent scary scientific research and revelations about nano and microplastics, and the oral health area was a tough one. All the top rated floss and great ones I have used in the past are made of polyester or nylon. Finally someone thought to make plant-based floss, thank you! (Not just the container like other brands that are saying they are plastic-free – this floss itself is not plastic, along with the packaging!) This floss works. It is very minty, in a really good way, and I feel better using this than all the expensive and fancy other brands that are made of plastic! I feel like it works just as well as, if not better than other brands of floss. I have tried so many, including the $10 ones, and have very very tightly spaced teeth. This is not too thick or too thin and has not shredded or unraveled like I was worried it would. The only downside is the container and spool of floss is just tiny, I was not expecting it to be so small. The package does come with 2 refills which is nice, and the price is really good considering that. I’m including a picture of the (very nice) glass floss case next to an apple mouse for size reference. This floss is totally worth it and I highly recommend giving it a shot, especially if you are worried about nanoplastics going right into your gums while flossing with standard nylon or polyester floss.

Works Great, Eco-Friendly, & Non-Toxic!
The floss is a perfect width, tears easily, stays put between teeth, and leaves a refreshing taste. Best of all, it’s non-toxic, which gives me peace of mind. I also love the glass bottle aesthetic, it looks great on the counter and is eco-friendly! My only wish is that it were a little cheaper, but I’ll keep purchasing because it works so well.

Pretty good floss, but the glass container is quite breakable
I like that it’s “natural” and the floss can be composted. And I like that the packaging is free from plastic. The floss is relatively thin and strong.I did occasionally cut or fray the floss on edge of my teeth. This seems to happen slightly more with this floss than with more conventional (plastic or waxed fiber) flosses.And I would greatly prefer that they use an all-metal container, rather than the glass capsule. I did just have to discard around half of my first batch of floss after it fell from the cabinet and shattered. A metal container wouldn’t have that issue (though you’d be more likely to reach the end of the spool without warning).

Bamboo Floss
I do have to point out from the very beginning. This is not your regular dental floss. It is a little thicker. With people who have teeth that are really close together. This might not be the dental floss for you. The other dental floss people use is thin and flat the only way to be able to use this Dental floss is by stringing it in between your teeth with floss threader. Like I said it’s kind of thick and if you have bridgework or crowns, this is probably not a good idea for you to use it, unless you plan on putting it between your teeth versus sliding it up between teeth. Remembering to slide it back out as this can cause your crown or Bridge work, whatever type of teeth replacement you have to come loose or fall off. I have bridgework and I have a crown and it was not easy to work until I just slid it out from between my teeth. I hope this makes sense. It does have a great flavor and I do have to say what I like about this floss is it really helps get stuff out from between your teeth, for that portion it works great and I love that. I cannot stand to have anything stuck between my teeth. when I floss I wanted to do a really great job. You want to compare how many yards the other dental floss has and this dental floss has. As this dental floss has less yards, so you might go through it a little bit quicker if you’re in avid flosser. And it does come with two extra refills so three altogether.

Some Plusses, Some Minuses
Tried this in order to avoid the microplastics in most drugstore brands. It works ok, but breaks more frequently than conventional floss. It’s also not as slick as conventional floss but it’s nice that the container is non-plastic and reusable.

Solid Floss
I used to use CocoFloss and overall I wanted to use something that was better for the environment and better for my teeth. I can very confidently day I love using this floss!The refills are so space friendly, you can keep about 3 refills and the container itself in the original packaging. Not only is the installation of new refills very easy, but this floss is very physically solid. It does not fray very easy. And I usually put toothpaste on the floss to saturate the thread before flossing my teeth, and it overall does a great job. I will mention that there is no minty taste for me for the floss. I wouldn’t mind floss with taste or without taste because I use my toothpaste paired with it either way. Great floss, I’ve been pleased using it for the past 3 months or so!

Best dental floss!!!It does take EVERYTHING out, and the best part is that you can actually see when there is nothing more in between your teeth because of the black color.It is a little thick, so you will have to wiggle it in between your tight spaces; and it is “coarse” (if you know what I mean), which I love because it does “scrape” the sides of your teeth.I will never buy any other brand.This one does an excellent job!
